Waterfalls of the Southern Appalachians - For Women

The Southern Appalachian Mountains are home to a plethora of waterfalls, over 700 in the state of Georgia alone! On this naturalist-led trip, we will explore and be delighted by a lovely sampling of outstanding waterfalls and cascades in Georgia and North Carolina, each one unique and special in its own right. Our hikes will also lead us to some exceptional scenic mountain vistas during our time together. Along the trails, we’ll make new discoveries and investigate whatever crosses our path and catches our interest. This may include anything from birds to salamanders and other wildlife to a diversity of plants, as well as animal tracks and traces.
