Celebrating 25 Years as Just Get Outdoors!!
Naturalist Guided Hiking Trip and More: Autumn Adventures In The Adirondacks
SEPTEMBER 27 - October 4, 2026
The Adirondack State Park covers 6.1 million acres in the northern third of New York State, making it the largest state park in the United States! With 42% of the Adirondack Park preserved as wilderness, it is rich in wildlife and plant life. Common Loons, Black Bear, Moose, Beaver, Fisher, Bobcat and River Otter, all symbols of wilderness, roam these magnificent mountains.
As late summer turns into early fall, we’ll head to the mountains and the cool, refreshing spring-fed lakes and vivid autumn foliage of the Adirondacks.
The Adirondack Park has more than 2000 miles of marked hiking trails that lead to pristine ponds, spectacular peaks and roaring waterfalls. We will be in the heart of the Central Adirondacks, surrounded by a great variety of excellent hiking trails and lakes. Each day will bring an exciting, new look into this wilderness as we travel along the forested trails, paddle the crystal-clear lakes, investigate a black spruce bog, and visit the famed Adirondack Museum (The Adirondack Experience).
Autumn is the perfect time to enjoy hiking, paddling, the spectacular view from our porch and the smell of wood smoke from the fireplace. Hiking trails offer solitude and stunning views as the summer crowds fade and fall colors and crisp blue skies make their appearance.
Loons will serenade us, otters may poke their heads above water to check us out, and everywhere we will find beauty, whether it is in the fine details of nature or the awe-inspiring scenery that surrounds us.
At our lakeside accommodations, you can begin and finish your days by absorbing all that an Adirondack lake has to offer. Our days will end with delicious, satisfying meals, time to relax around an evening fire with new friends, and a comfortable place to rest your head (and body) after an active day - this is what vacations are made of!
